| "Spinning" in the New Year with fitness and donations
This motivated group of "spinners" stepped out of the cold into the sauna-like classroom. The gym typically doesn't offer classes during the New Year's holiday, but today, members got a chance to get some professional and group motivation - for a price. Greg Hall, Gold's Gym general nanager, said, "To do our classes today, we asked that our participants bring either four cans of canned goods or dollars and we had great response. It was fun to see. They had a good time in class and kinda brings awareness that people need donations all year round." The classes are typically free to members, but today's workouts drew crowds despite the cost.
